The RAG Model is defined as an AI model that is designed by using a combination of the retrieval model and the generative language model. The retrieval model performs the task of finding out information from the outside source based on the query raised by the user. After identifying the information, the language model uses that piece of information to respond in a natural language. In situations where the AI models have to work with information which is domain-specific or constantly changing and is not part of their trained dataset, theRAG models can prove to be useful. The organizations can use this approach to make assistants which would be able to answer queries based on company documentation, policies, products, or other support material.
