Organizing portfolio records after migration (11 อ่าน)

Hi, forum members. I am planning to move several digital assets from an old wallet setup into a newer application, and my biggest problem is organization rather than the transfer itself. I have balances from different networks, old screenshots, and incomplete notes about when some coins were purchased or received. I would like to create a clean record of addresses, transaction IDs, dates, and fees before migrating. Is there a sensible way to prepare a portfolio spreadsheet without exposing sensitive wallet information? I also want to make sure that a new dashboard does not show an incorrect total because of unsupported tokens or outdated price data.

Hello. I would treat migration and portfolio tracking as two separate tasks. First, I would list each asset, network, public address, transaction ID, date, amount, and fee, while deliberately excluding recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, and unencrypted copies of sensitive data. Old reviews describe Jaxx wallet as a multi-currency application with portfolio features, but those historical capabilities should not be confused with current support. Since the original service was retired, I would not rely on https://jaxx-liberty.cc/ for a portfolio dashboard or software update. I would verify every asset through a reputable block explorer and confirm that the receiving wallet supports the exact network, not merely a similarly named token. Before migrating a large balance, I would restore or create the destination wallet on a clean, updated device, write down its recovery information offline, and perform a small test transfer. For portfolio values, I would record the pricing source and timestamp because displayed estimates can vary between services. I would export transaction history from exchanges where possible and keep original records rather than relying only on screenshots. If the assets have tax implications, I would ask a qualified adviser how to document cost basis and transfers in my jurisdiction. Good records reduce confusion, but they never replace careful key management.

Thank you for the practical structure. Separating public transaction details from private recovery information was exactly what I needed. I will prepare the inventory first, verify each network, test the destination with a small amount, and keep the spreadsheet free of passwords and seed words.
