At launch in 2020, the samsung a31 was an average mid-tiered smartphone, but it's only suitable for certain situations now. Has maintained its greatest qualities. Enough battery power is provided by 5,000mAh to stream, browse and message through the day and the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display is still vibrant. The in-display fingerprint sensor works and the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will provide enough memory for regular apps and data. If you want only a phone to make calls, WhatsApp, YouTube and social media, it's all yours.Negative side effects are more apparent today. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P65 chipset, which is sufficient for simple tasks, but is not good for heavy gaming and multitasking. It's only 60Hz, so it won't appear as smooth as some of the newer phones, and the maximum charging power is limited to 15W, which can take some time to charge it up. The camera has a 48MP sensor & 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and depth sensor, but, low-light photos aren't that great and video only provides 1080p. It launches with Android 10 and One UI 2.0, and that software is very old, which could mean that users of the phone won't receive security updates, particularly for those who use banking applications.Well, then who should come up with the samsung a31 now? Under the condition of very low price and good battery health, it can be used as a second-hand phone, backup phone or as the first phone for a family member. For a primary phone for multiple years, a more recent model featuring a higher-speed chip, a smoother screen and extended software support is a better bang for your buck. It's good to read genuine reviews from a lab with a careful testing system prior to investing in the current choices.
